Patients/Appointments
To schedule an appointment, please call us or ask your physio/ gp to send a referral. We strive to accommodate all patients promptly. Whenever feasible, we will look to accommodate imaging and procedures such as injections as quickly as possible.
What to Expect on the Day of Your Appointment
Your consultation will include a comprehensive examination, review of any imaging and reports, diagnosis, and the creation of a treatment plan.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please bring any relevant medical history, including x-ray or MRI imaging, reports, and other pertinent medical documents. A thorough clinical examination is typically part of the consultation, so if applicable, bring a pair of shorts and runners with you.
Consultation Fees
The consultation fee will be confirmed to you before your appointment.
Note that direct payment from your health insurer for consultation fees is not possible. However, depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible to claim part of the consultation fee afterward. This process is entirely between you and your insurer.
MRI Fees
Any required imaging or investigations will be arranged at a facility or hospital covered by your insurance. We recommend confirming the details with your insurer beforehand, as we cannot take responsibility for these arrangements.
Injections
If you have health insurance, we can submit a claim on your behalf to cover the cost of injections. For patients without insurance, there will be a charge for the procedure from Dr O’Donovan performing the injection and the hospital where it is being performed.
Private Medical Insurance
If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.
